Kaite’s session means so much to me. We’ve been friends for such a long time, rooting back to middle school band class (or before!). She’s one of the few friends that I’ve actually been able to keep decent contact with since high school. Through several moves, big life events, and so much more, we’ve been able to stay a part of each other’s lives. I was one of the first people Kaite told when she was expecting, and boy was that a hard secret to keep! I was so incredibly excited for her to experience motherhood. I wasn’t planning on making a trip to Michigan this month, but since I’m booked for lots of homecomings and sessions this summer when we usually take our annual summer vacation, I figured now was the perfect time to come up. It worked out so perfectly to do her maternity pictures while I was visiting. The weather was less than cooperative during this trip, but Kaite was a rock star in the cold. It had rained all day but we were able to shoot in the evening even though it was chilly.
Now she’s just days away from her due date and we’re impatiently waiting for Baby S to make her arrival. Kaite looks absolutely stunning and I can’t wait to photograph her little bundle of joy on my next trip up. Here are some of her beautiful maternity photos:
