Among many things in life, one of the things I love most is having a girl. When I was pregnant, I was thoroughly convinced that Miss A was going to be a boy, but when we found out that a little princess would be joining our family, I was elated. As Miss A grows older and older, I love having a girl more and more. Her growing obsession with Sofia the First inspired me to spoil my own princess and transform her into a real princess.
Over the next couple weeks, Miss A will be spending more time as a princess than not. Between her birthday celebration this weekend in Georgia, and a full on Princess Party in Michigan in the beginning of August, I’m convinced that I may be creating a monster (at least she will be a cute one!). Here’s a little sneak peak at our pre-party test run with Miss A’s new favorite dress:
This shoot started out as examples for why gear matters, but I quickly had the creative juices flowing. With the pretty fog in the background, and the almost mythical looking woods, I knew that I wanted to take Miss A’s princess fascination to the next level. Now when she sees these photos, she’s seven kinds of excited, screaming “Princess! Princess!” I can’t wait to show her theses when she’s old enough to appreciate the cuteness. Capturing her childhood has become one of the most important things in my life. I want to have amazing photos to print for her, to show her as she grows, and to recreate (if I’m lucky enough to have a cooperative teenager) when she’s grown.
I can’t wait to share some of the excitement that this weekend will bring with you. Even though her Georgia celebration will be more low-key, I know that she’s going to have a blast celebrating and being pampered like a princess for a day!
God Bless ♥ Victoria
