A few weeks ago, I had the privilege to photograph an awesome family I met at the end of last year. We celebrated Miss Avah’s second birthday, and got some awesome family shots as well.
I can’t believe that it has been six whole months since I met this wonderful family. Josh contacted me to photograph his wife’s homecoming from deployment. I’d never shot a female soldier’s homecoming before, so to say that I was ridiculously excited would be a huge understatement. I was so honored to experience this with them. Miss Avah was such a blast, even in the middle of the night. It took just about everything I had to keep back the tears as I watched their reunion.
It’s always amazing for me to see how much kids grow up so quickly. Miss Avah has turned into quite a little doll. We had so much fun playing and laughing at their session. Check out some of this family’s beautiful gallery:
I hope that I get the chance to work with this family before we PCS to Fort Benning in November. They were such a blast to work with. Avah’s smile is infectious, and this couple’s love is so evident. Such a great family!
